My Project
Because of our students' strong mathematical thinking and enthusiasm for math, we've started our first ever MathCounts Club! During lunch every week, students come together to do math problems with other students who love math. Throughout the year, our club is preparing for a competition in February 2024 against other middle schoolers in our city.
If you could watch these students do math together, you would be amazed - they are joyful, motivated, focused, and eager to learn math topics beyond middle school standards.
They're very excited to go to our first all-city competition early next year, and I want to surprise them with matching school MathCounts sweatshirts to wear and celebrate all their hard work leading up to the competition. Anything you can give helps - I know my students will be thrilled to be doing math problems together in their matching sweatshirts!
