Help Us Empower Adaptive PE & Unified Sports for Visually Impaired Students!
Physical activity is essential for all students, but for those in Adaptive PE, having the right equipment can be the difference between exclusion and meaningful participation.
Our goal is to provide specialized supplies that enhance mobility, coordination, and confidence for students with diverse abilities, while also expanding Unified Sports for students with visual impairments.
Currently, our program lacks the adaptive tools necessary to meet the needs of all students. Many traditional sports and activities are not designed for students with disabilities, making it challenging for them to fully engage. By securing goalballs, tactile sports equipment, sound-adapted balls, modified fitness gear, and protective gear, we can create a fully inclusive and engaging environment where every student can thrive.
Expanding Unified Sports for visually impaired students will allow them to compete alongside their peers, fostering teamwork, independence, and social-emotional growth. Inclusive sports programs have been proven to boost self-esteem, improve physical health, and create lasting friendships between students of all abilities.
