This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am the physical education teacher in a low income public school. I teach grades Kinder to 8th. The students are all great students who do not get many benefits that children in other areas do. So, when they get anything they are very grateful.

The soccer team starts soon and we do not have an outside field to practice. So, the students must practice in the gym. We currently use cones for goals which can be hard to use and are not good practice nets for the goalies. I would love if there was money in the budget to buy new nets but there isn't. So, for now we have to use the cones.

We would love to have the goals that I picked out. Not only would that help prepare the teams for soccer games, but it will also help make gym class more enjoyable for the students. The cones we use now cause arguments about if a certain kick is a goal or not. The students would love to have goals that resemble the ones at the park where they play their games.

That is where you come in. You can make it possible for my students to have a good soccer experience. The students would be so excited to use them. Every time I am able to get them something new for soccer the look in their eyes makes my teaching them worthwhile.
