My Project
Your donation can change lives by supporting a project aimed at empowering underserved high school seniors in our community. Through an essay contest, we will award laptops to deserving students, giving them the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital world.
For many Black and Brown students in underserved communities, access to technology is a barrier to success.
A laptop is more than just a tool—it’s a gateway to learning, self-expression, and opportunity. With these laptops, students will have the resources to complete college applications, conduct research, and engage in virtual learning. They’ll also gain valuable skills in technology that are critical for navigating higher education and the workforce.
As a proud graduate of Bennett College (HBCU), I know firsthand the transformative power of education and access. My time at Bennett instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and a passion for giving back to the next generation. This project is driven by my commitment to ensuring that inner city students, who often face systemic challenges, have the resources they need to thrive.
These students are exceptional because they persevere in the face of adversity. They bring unique perspectives, resilience, and creativity to their education, but often lack the resources to fully reach their potential. By equipping them with laptops, we are investing in their futures and affirming that their dreams are worth pursuing.
My goal for this project is simple: to inspire and empower. The essay contest will challenge students to think critically, articulate their aspirations, and celebrate their voices. By awarding laptops, we are not just providing technology; we are fostering hope and opening doors to possibilities they might not have otherwise.
