Do you remember the excitement of color-coding your work and bringing math alive with colored markers and pencils? My students want to express themselves in color, which is hard to do when we do not have enough supplies for everyone to use at the same time.
My students come from all over the city and many of them are on free-or-reduced lunch.
We work hard to build community and sometimes a little color goes a long way to doing this. My students bring their energy and engagement in education every day. I want to bring smiles to their day with color.
My Project
We need markers, colored pencils, and colored paper to draw the mathematical concepts that we are practicing. Rulers, scissors and twine will help us measure and model the world around us. Students will be able to use these tools to creatively demonstrate their learning.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this proposal.
My students are cheering us on as we make progress towards our goal. The projects that they will be able to create with these tools will impress you and give you faith that students and teachers alike are working towards a common goal of learning.
