This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are sixth-grade elementary students at an inner-city school. They are eager to learn, but many face circumstances that make learning an obstacle. For many, school is the only stable part of their day.
It is my job to guide these students as they break past hardships to become successful problem solvers and critical thinkers who are ready to face real-world challenges.
This task is not always easy, and these projects help make the process more enjoyable.
My Project
This school year is going to be unlike any other. Even though learning has shifted into our homes, it's important it continues just as if we were in our classroom together. To create an effective learning environment within the home, I would like to provide some basic supplies for my students.
Every student deserves to have access to a variety of school supplies as they begin the new school year.
Help me provide the supplies my students will need to have a successful virtual learning experience. My project includes basic supplies such as pencils, notebooks, scissors, glue, and colored pencils. A pencil box will keep all materials organized and a folder will keep handouts and work in one safe place. Dry-erase boards and earbuds will serve as useful tools during virtual lessons.
Help me set my students up for success as we begin our virtual learning journey together!
