Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A well-stocked and clean classroom creates the foundation for a supportive and engaging learning environment. With cleaning wipes and paper towels, we can keep our space fresh and welcoming, helping students stay healthy and ready to learn together. I love rewarding their hard work, and I know from their excitement that smelly stickers and teacher stamps are simple yet powerful motivators that encourage teamwork and celebrate progress. Pencils ensure that every student has what they need to participate, while markers and sticky notes allow us to build interactive anchor charts that reinforce shared learning. Whiteboards give my students a space to dive into social-emotional learning, brainstorm ideas, and collaborate on group tasks, making learning more engaging and hands-on.
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, these materials will help keep my students focused, motivated, and working together through spring fever and state testing.
Board games for indoor recess will provide them with a much-needed brain break, helping them build social skills, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and practice executive functioning in a fun and low-pressure way. My goal is to foster a classroom environment where students not only feel supported but also take pride in their learning and each other’s success. They are a group of curious, hands-on learners who thrive when working together, and these supplies will help them finish the year strong—one team, on one journey!
