Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our middle school is an urban school in Stamford, CT. Our students are very diverse and have a +50% free and reduced lunch rate. The Stamford Public Schools have students that speak over 50 different languages and a significant ELL population.
The hard working kids of our middle school require support for the ongoing replacement of consumables in order to do basic work that supports the curricula in our core subjects.
Please help us communicate to these deserving students that they matter!
My Project
My students lack the necessary consumable supplies to unleash their creativity in class. Due to ongoing budget cuts, supplies are (for lack of a better phrase) in short supply.
I believe by supporting our scholars we will not only supply them but send them the message that they matter and that the broader community cares about them and their learning.
Please help me to help them by helping us acquire these markers and posterboard for project based learning. Your help will relieve their families and our school from funding these necessary supplies for our team.
