My Students
Do you remember when you were a little boy or girl and you went shopping for school supplies? The joy of picking out your supplies and coming home and labeling them. The best part was the first day of school walking into your classroom. Unfortunately, many of my students cannot have this experience.
This is my 8th year teaching 3rd grade at a very low socioeconomic school in Florida.
About 87% of my students come for economically disadvantaged homes. Budget cuts have made supplying my students with even the basics unlikely. They are highly motivated and love to create projects to show off what they learned.
My Project
With the everyday school supplies that I have requested, this would allow me to have supplies ready for those students that aren't' able to purchase them. For students who are in need of the the supplies, this will help them not to endure embarrassment of walking into class without having the requested supplies. I have requested glue sticks, colored pencils, sheet protectors, dry erase markers and various other classroom supplies for my students to begin the new year prepared and ready to learn.
With this donation you will be showing them that their are generous people out there other than myself, that care about them and their education.
You will also make it possible for us to have a enriching learning environment.
