My Students

"When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts." - Dalai Lama Educating tomorrow's leaders is possibly the most important and challenging job in America today. No pencils, no erasers, no crayons- this is our reality.

I teach a group of funny, hard-working, compassionate and enthusiastic special needs students!

They are wonderful but live in, literally, the poorest community in NYC. They come to school excited to learn and happy to be in a nurturing environment.

My Project

Over the past years, I have spent my free time and my personal money to ensure they have what they need to learn. We need crayons, pencils, erasers- the simple things I know most of us take for granted! We need reading books for instruction and activities to teach sight words and phonics.

Today's children are tomorrow's adults.

Give these children the basics, the very basics, so they can succeed. Please help make a brighter tomorrow by giving kids what they need to succeed!
