Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need various school supplies (Sharpie markers, pens, Post-its, desk accessories, and a stapler) to further their education. The majority can't afford to buy school supplies which we definitely need for classwork projects. The majority of my students are not on grade level. Their families are hardworking individuals making minimum wage. My students can't afford basic supplies. We need these supplies in order to complete classroom projects. We work in groups most times and we are in great need of these supplies. In class, we work in groups and due to a shortage of supplies, I need this donation.

Recent budget cuts prevent me from supplying all of my students with basic supplies.

My students' families are financially challenged and their parents cannot supply basic school supplies. My students enjoy working in groups since it makes it easier to understand the work. Our school serves students with limited financial needs who are motivated and committed to creating success in school and life. Educating our students is an extremely high priority for us, our students will really benefit from your donation. These materials will help them be more independent in reading and writing. Each student will be able to participate in our weekly Jeopardy games. Since we work in groups the majority of the time, they will be able to have enough supplies without having to wait for others to finish. Each group will now have the same amount of time to finish classroom projects. Students will get to make posters; I will be able to write out charts that I can display around the room. Students will be able to look around the room for clues if they need to. We will have different reading strategies charts so they can be reminded of each skill.
