Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom come to school each day with a smile and an eager attitude to learn. These supplies will help me to provide them with an exceptional education!

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."-Nelson Mandela

The school that I teach in is a Title I school, located in Phoenix. The students who attend come from low socioeconomic homes. My school tries their best to bless each student with as many supplies as we can at the beginning of the year, since the families cannot afford to purchase them on their own. My school also provides free breakfast and lunch to each and every student. The light in the kids eyes as they learn is something I have never seen before. They truly love coming to school where they are able to learn and be loved at the same time. I want to continue to help give them the education they deserve!

My Project

These materials will make an impact on my students learning because it will allow them to connect to the visual part of the their brain. Not only will this engage students in learning it will make difficult material stick.

Giving students color will brighten their learning.

Students can be easily grouped, or given a task based on their colored marker that is given. It helps to organize thoughts, and helps to break up material that is learned over an extensive amount of time. Students may be asked to refer to a specific color giving them an easy way. The possibilities with these materials are endless.
