My Project

My students are creative, fun, outgoing, and love to learn. They enjoy reading and learning new things each and every day.

I have an amazing and creative group of first graders.

Students come to school each day eager to try and learn new things. I teach at a Title I school with a high poverty index. A lot of our students do not have the best home lives, so our school is their security and they count on us every day. We are also a school of the arts. This means we have Drama, Dance, Music, P.E., and Art as their specials. We incorporate all of these elements into our lesson plans. Watching the students learn using these elements is so amazing.

I am requesting markers, glue sticks, copy paper, dry erase markers, dry erasers and ink. The students use these supplies during small and whole group every day. Each month, my class creates a project to present to the class. They research their topic and use paper to make dioramas, trifolds and book reports. They work in groups to complete the projects and having these supplies will help them achieve this.

Having the supplies at their fingertips will help make the projects, small groups, and interactive notebooks a lot easier for the students and they do not have to worry about supplying the materials and I do not have to worry about buying the materials.

These supplies will help my students tremendously. With your donation to my project you will help my students stay focused on the tasks instead of being stressed or frustrated because they do not have the supplies.
