This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am the proud teacher of 19 wonderful students. My students are hard workers. They help each other which is great, because they are learning to work as a team.
My students are economically disadvantaged, but their families are very supportive in their child's learning.
They come each day with a desire to learn and succeed. I want the best for my students. I want them to succeed in their lives and be our future doctors, teachers, nurses, lawyers etc.
My Project
My students are great! They are eager to learn. These supplies will help them continue to excel. Some of my students come from other countries and need to learn to read. We will use these supplies to color code work to aide in the students' learning. For example, the lessons are concentrated on letter recognition, syllables and making words by joining syllables. The timers will help students to increase their reading fluency. The students can also use the timers to help their fellow students increase their fluency. My students come from different backgrounds, but they can learn because they have the willingness to learn.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
