My students are incredible! My students are in kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth and fifth grade. They are curious, inquisitive, hardworking, and dedicated. All of my students have Individualized Educational Plans because they have been diagnosed with disabilities.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school.
They come from high poverty areas, and they all love coming to school. My students are brilliant individuals who learn differently than their peers. These students will be successful, and it's my job to create learning opportunities that ensure this.
My Project
Right before our school closed in March, our classroom pencil sharpener broke. We are gearing up to return to in person learning in January and will definitely need a new sharpener for our learning time together. I am also hoping to give students a new pencil box to keep all of their supplies in and a new pencil with a motivational saying, as I'm sure things will take some getting used to with the new procedures and protocols for in person learning. Students will be pumped to do some paper and pencil learning instead of just learning on the Chromebook. Having these materials will get us back to working out math problems on paper, math fact challenges, writing story problems, etc.
My students are great, eager to get back to in person learning, and will benefit immediately from these materials.
