My students need these additional supplies to be successful in the classroom. Many of them have just the basic supplies but still need additional supplies like markers, folders, pens, and glue sticks to be able to collaborate and succeed.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have about 90 wonderful 8th graders at a Title I school who are engaged and ready to learn. They take everything I show them and apply it to the work and their activities. They also enjoy exploring lessons on their own and learning and applying the concepts on their own.

Many of my students come from bilingual families and the majority of them are on the free or reduced-price lunch program.

My students consist of many multi-generational families as well as extended families. This project will help reach many students and benefit many families.

My Project

Many of my students have just the basic supplies, paper, and pencils. I want my kids to be successful and for all of them to have access to supplies, not just a few with access.

Even though my students are in middle school, they still like to be creative and add color and detail.

The colored pencils and markers will allow them to be creative in their projects and notes. Highlighters allow them to mark important information in their notes.

Index cards help them keep important information nearby and the folders will allow them to be successful in their organization of in-class material.
