Supplies to Help Succeed

Help me give my students the supplies they need to be able to fully enjoy their educational journey through second grade! These items will provide students with the materials they need in day-to-day activities.

My Students

I teach 22 wonderful 7-8-year-olds. My students are a true melting pot. I cater to many different cultures with many different learning needs. I appreciate the difference in culture and love to explore each child's individual needs. I have many different languages in my room as well including Chinese, Korean, French, Urdu, and of course English. I love to be able to give my students the best I possibly can. As a young, second-year teacher, money is not something that I am rolling in. I spend most of my money on providing school supplies for my students. Our district this year did not require students to purchase school supplies, so I have become low on them very quickly. I have been very blessed to have such a supportive and loving school and family. Thank you for anything you are willing to give to my donors choose.

My Project

The materials listed in this project will help my students in day-to-day activities. Students have been so excited to be back in person. A new pencil, pack of crayons, or markers is like a birthday present to each student. I enjoy adding creativity to each lesson I teach.

Using these materials, students are able to explore the topics covered in class in a more in-depth and creative way.

Using color to create graphs, charts, diagrams, and much much more, makes learning a little less bleak. Using composition notebooks to create interactive and explorative journals, adds to student enjoyment of learning a new topic. They are able to use these journals for the rest of the year and even into next year as a tool for learning. Overall, students learning experience shouldn't be led by worksheets but by creative and engaging lessons.
