Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are always filled with ideas and creativity. They always have something to share about their families or their backgrounds.
Even though they have a lot to share, they are unable to express themselves through writing.
My students are all English Language Learners and struggle with speaking and comprehending English.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will support the growth of my English Language Learners to improve basic skills. They will be able to use specific notebooks and writing tools to support their writing in a fun way. They will be able to practice their phonics in an engaging and hands-on opportunity.
These materials will further the growth of the students where they will be able to physically interact with their writing.
Some of the materials are also fun games where students are going to have the chance to practice and express their knowledge with their classmates. The math materials allows students to be able to manipulate and visualize the numbers presented to them so they can associate the terminology better.
