Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is full of books, different types of technology, flexible seating, and music. Students are able to switch seats and complete their work all over the classroom, wherever and however they are most successful.
My students are a great group of students who love to move, create, learn, ask questions, and occasionally make a mess in the classroom.
I am lucky enough to have two classes of 4th graders for science. Whenever we have a lab to complete in class, you can sense the excitement from everybody, including me.
My Project
This school year will definitely have an odd beginning, but that shouldn't prevent my students from having supplies to facilitate their learning. Every year, we work in a variety of interactive notebooks for math, writing, reading, and science. Having supplies like composition books, pencils, colored pencils, and glue sticks will set my students up for success at home and at school.
There is nothing better than sharing a great novel with a new group of students.
One of my favorite all time read alouds is Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech and our current class set is on it's last leg. A new set will benefit students for years to come.
After four years, my class set of binders finally bit the dust and need to be replaced. New binders and durable dividers will keep current and future students organized and on the way to success.
