My Students
My students are special education students in the 6-8th grades. Their disabilities range anywhere from ADHD/ADD to nonverbal and wheel chair bound. My students love to come to school and enjoy being around their peers and teachers. They love to learn new things and look forward to each new lesson.
My school is in the low income area and many students are on free or reduced lunches.
Our middle school is one of three in the community and is the smallest.
My Project
Most of my students families are not able to purchase supplies. This would assist to make sure that all of my students are given the same opportunity in the classroom.
No one would be without a pencil, scissors, or markers to complete a project.
I want all of my students to feel like they are a part of my class. Having these supplies would allow them to feel like they fit in. Students need to be able to feel like they are part of the class. Having the required supplies is heaven when the students know they don't have to worry about asking their parents to buy them.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
