This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our science lab is a place of challenge and discovery. Students will spend this year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need as they pursue their education.
The students that I have a privilege of teaching are third and fourth graders in an urban inner city elementary school.
They are excited to explore the world of science, to perform experiments, and to expand their capacity for critical thinking. They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.
Our student population is 99% minority and over 85% receive free or reduced price lunch. With that being said, I believe that they deserve the BEST education and every opportunity to be successful in fulfilling their dreams
My Project
My students are assigned a math and science projects on a monthly basis. Our expectations for the students is they will learn the concept, build time management skills, and work on their presentation skills. For my students to be more successful in the classroom, they will need to use computers and be knowledgeable on how to transfer information using USBs and learn how to use a printer.
Exposing opportunities for students to show their BEST work is our job as teachers!
I also need for the students to work on how they present their projects. They will benefit from having a Cricut Machine that will cut out the letters for their titles and anything else they need for their projects. This will only be possible with your help in investing in our future scholars.
