My Project

In my classroom at a Title I school, my scholars show up every day with bright minds and big hearts, but they face challenges that often go far beyond academics. Many come from homes with limited parental support and struggle with focus, behavior, and basic skills. I’m building a classroom where every child feels supported, valued, and excited to learn. I need your help to make that possible.

Imagine a student who constantly loses their supplies and feels embarrassed.

With team caddies, that same student becomes the group leader, responsible for organizing materials, which will help with building confidence and responsibility.

Picture a child who walks in unable to read the word of the day. With a recordable button, they can hear it spoken aloud and practice independently, building literacy in a fun, low-pressure way.

Envision a student with ADHD bouncing in their seat, unable to focus. A bouncy ball chair or a short break on a mini trampoline helps them release energy so they can come back to the lesson calm and ready to learn. And because only the “Student of the Day” earns the trampoline spot, the whole class is motivated to behave.

This project also includes simple but essential tools, such as a new pencil sharpener (because ours broke!), dry-erase notecards for weekly sight word games, and math games to strengthen number sense. The behavior charts, brain breaks, toys, and drawing pads will encourage good choices and creativity.

Every item in this project has a purpose: to meet my students where they are and move them forward academically, emotionally, and socially. Your support gives them the tools, structure, and encouragement they don’t always get elsewhere.
