Supplies That Make Learning Awesome!

My students need some help with their school supplies! Sharpies, gel pens, Play Doh and poster board all supplies that make learning amazing!

My Students

I am a 6th grade teacher for a school high-poverty school district and a lot of my students can't afford basic learning supplies.

My 6th graders are eager and willing to put forth the effort to produce high quality work, but that requires materials and materials are expensive!

I certainly don't want the lack of materials to get in the way of one single student and their learning journey!

My Project

I would like to provide them with gel pens, Sharpie markers and poster board so that the kids can create high quality posters as a way of solidifying their knowledge and putting it on display. The 6th graders also learn a lot about plate tectonics and Play Doh is a wonderful way for the kids to use their hands and create models of the different types of movement.

It's important to be excited about your learning in order to remember it.

It's hard to be excited when you only have a pencil to work with. Sharpies, gel pens and Play Doh liven up projects and make them much more memorable. My goal is to make learning fun and memorable. With your help, and the help of matching funds from Play Doh and possibly even Staples, we can impact the learning of over 200 students!
