Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school every day excited to learn! My school is a Title I school with 92.9% of students coming from low-income families. There is a high percentage of Latinos at my school. I teach students who are learning English as a second language.
My students may come from low-income homes, but they are motivated to do well in school, and they enjoy learning!
I teach 3rd through 8th grade Special Education. My students have various disabilities including intellectual disabilities, autism, emotional disturbance, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
My Project
My students need pencil sharpeners to keep their pencils sharpened throughout the day. I need an electric pencil sharpener to sharpen colored pencils and regular pencils for my students. I need an electric stapler, as well as a regular stapler. We also need additional laminating pouches. These laminating pouches allow me to create materials for my students to use.
My students need replacement supplies!
Many of my students come from households that don't supply them with school supplies. Therefore, I have to supply my students with them. Receiving these supplies would help support my students and my classroom. We would have the supplies we need!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
