This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our math classroom supply cabinet is in need of some fresh new calculators, snacks, fidgets for anxiety, and mechanical pencils. I hope to continue to be able to provide my students with every essential tool that they need to be focused, confident, and successful in math class.

It is a priority for students to have the tools necessary to be successful in 7th grade math as well as items like snacks and fidgets to support their physical and mental health.

Our math classroom is filled with joy and comfort for students and a lot of that positive energy comes from consistent access to things that help students focus and learn. I’ve discovered that my seventh graders thrive when they have access to fidgets when they're stressed and have food available to them when they’re hungry in class.
