This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It's the middle of the school year and supplies are running low in our class. My 13, special needs students go through pencils, paper and crayons like there is an endless pit of school supplies in the classroom.

I teach 13 fun, loving and perfection seeking special needs student in a Title 1 school.

My students try their best and go through pencils crayons, paper and markers because we are constantly working to meet their academic needs. Its very difficult for the parents of my families to refill their child's supply needs in the middle of the school year. They barely contribute in the beginning of the year due to financial constraints. To lessen their load I try to get supplies donated or will haul to office supply stores during the summer to get the best deals.

My Project

My students will use these supplies to continue the great work they have been producing since the beginning of the year. They will have pencils, crayons, copy paper, and markers at their disposal to be creative artists and great writers for the remainder of the school year.

Having these supplies available for my fabulous class will allow them to create and write without halting their thoughts because there are no pencils, crayons or markers or paper to produce their assignments.
