This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My TK students are full of energy and ready to learn and explore new lessons from across the curriculum. It would be a great benefit for these little learners to have a media cart and projection screen for our document reader and our LCD projector along with speakers, CD's and musical instruments.

I have 25 amazing TK students that enjoy exploring and learning new lessons.

My students are part of a transitional kindergarten program designed for the youngest of the kinder students that turn 5 between September and December. For many of my students, this is their first experience attending school and many are shy and quiet. They attend a Title One School and come from a low-economic background. Most student receive free or reduced lunch. These young students work very hard to meet their academic goals and be academically prepared to go to Kindergarten the following year. They have a very short attention span and, therefore, I have to provide a variety of activities and centers to do with them to keep them focused and interested in their learning.

My Project

My students need a variety of supplies for them to learn and explore in TK. Having a media cart and a projection screen for our document reader and our LCD projector will allow me to present wonderful bright and colorful lessons for my students to enjoy. My students will benefit by seeing large images on the screen where they can view and explore new and exciting lessons. Having speakers will help my students listen to stories and learn new songs throughout the year. The ink will allow me to print activities from the lessons taught that day. My students will also benefit from the CD's and musical instruments by inspiring their young imaginations and reinforce essential skills through music. Finally, a magnetic book center and chart stand will be helpful for them read books and review nursery rhymes that were previously taught to them.

Please consider donating to our class project as this will allow my TK students to see large interactive images on a screen to enhance our lessons.

Students would also be reinforcing their learning through the use of the latest music, instruments and technology. They will also be able to read books and review nursery rhymes during center time.
