My Project
Housed in an elementary public school's science lab, the STEM Lab Zoo is home to a plethora of living things. Here, students have the opportunity to learn through observation, interaction, hands-on discovery, research and investigation . . . all with living things.
Students have the opportunity to learn about Habitats, Environments, Food Chain, Survival, Camouflage, Reproduction, Life Cycle, Animal Care (just to name a few) and develop a love for all living things!
The upkeep and sustainability comes with a fee, and as a Public School, requires support. The animals in which call the STEM Lab Zoo home are a Red Eared Slider Turtle, South American Box Tortoise, Dubia and Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, three species of snake, a Fire Skink, Savannah Monitors & Uromastyx. We have a Tarantula and Scorpion, Fish . . . just to name a few. BTW, we also breed our own food for many of the animals. This is why, we, my students and I, are asking for your support . . . to keep the STEM Lab Zoo running by requesting the supplies needed.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
