My Students
Second graders are a curious, intelligent and intuitive bunch and this year is no different! Their expanding minds and zest for knowledge shine. With a little independence under their belts, they are ready for new adventures!
They look forward to the journey of second grade and the growth they make is immeasurable!
These second graders exceed the impossible and surpass many goals that are set. They have the challenge of not only reaching academic heights but venturing through social, emotional and behavioral road blocks set in their paths. But don’t be fooled - they are unstoppable!
My Project
As a teacher, I strive to make learning engaging and hands-on. Students love to become a part of their own learning especially when they have their own tools. Coloring, drawing, writing and creating becomes a HUGE part of 2nd grade!
All these tools will help students during classroom instruction and independent learning!
Ziploc baggies help students store their materials and keep them from getting damaged or lost. The magnetic erasers stick right to the side of their desks for easy access. Student folders make storing important papers a breeze in their desk. Student nameplates make it easy for students to refer to during math and teacher instruction. Toothbrushes cases make it quick and easy to store pencils in and sharpen at the end of each week. We spend a lot of time using Chromebooks for digital learning and headphones are a necessity in our classroom!
All these tools will help our classroom run efficiently and effectively during math, reading, writing and all classroom instruction and work time.
