This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 3rd grade students are part of a small community in San Luis, Arizona. The majority of my students are ESL (English Second Language) students and come from a low-income household. I am truly blessed to work at a district that provides free daily breakfast to all students. For many of them is the only source of food they have. My students are always inquisitive and eager to learn. They work hard to improve their abilities and are present daily in our virtual classroom. Regardless of the situation, they are always excited to learn. They inspire me every day regardless of the challenges they face.

My Project

School supplies for my third-grade students are essential to their learning. These supplies will help my students build upon their literacy skills in writing, math, and reading in the whole group, small-group, and collaborative learning setting. We check for understanding in the areas of math, spelling, and vocabulary while using our whiteboards, markers, and sleeves.

My goal is to make sure my students have the necessary resources to succeed daily in my class.

Materials such as scissors, sleeves, markers, glue sticks are used every day and add to our learning!

We belong in a very small community with most parents working in the fields. I have a very supportive group of parents but they cannot afford to donate or buy supplies for their kids. Having these supplies in the class will guarantee my students not to worry and be successful in class.
