This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is a mix of students with special education needs and general education students. All of my students' needs are vast, but they love to learn and they work very hard. They want to grow as students, as well as individuals. They are a class of individuals with many different learning styles and needs.
My students are learners and they try their hardest to be the best students they can.
However, many of them have learning disabilities or speech and language delays. They learn in many different ways and have many different needs.
Many of my students come from low, socioeconomic homes and school is their safety net. We are a Title I school where all of our students receive free lunch. It's a place where they feel safe and cared for.
My Project
We are all scheduled to come back into the school building this September. These supplies will help my students perform well in the classroom after a year and half learning virtually at home due to the pandemic. The supplies will help lift the burden off of our school community and our parents. We need Kleenex tissues, crayons, markers, pencils, and poster paper.
These items will give us the supplies we need to have a successful school year.
We can use them to create anchor charts and posters for small group instruction. These supplies will go a long way! Thank you!
