This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are extremely motivated by the desire to succeed in the math classroom. Despite their gaps, they strive forward on all assignments and show the hunger to learn new concepts, strategies, and mathematics in general.
Diverse in many ways, our students are encouraged to engage in mathematical discussions that challege them to justify their responses.
We have students with IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and special needs. Our students love learning, love the learning process, and love the environment we've created for them.
My Project
The materials we have received previously have help bolster such a positive attitude and environment in our classroom we are asking for some more! The snacks and prizes were such a hit with our students we want to continue the momentum. This time around we are also asking for supplies for our classroom. Paper, folders, and paper clips will help us in so many different ways, but the biggest will be organization. Secondly, the supplies provided in this project will also help us provide our students worksheets and reference sheets for them to continue excelling in this challenging year. We are coming down to the point where test review is going to be a major push for our classroom. We want to keep building our positive atmosphere!
