This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My East Oakland students are inquisitive, thoughtful, and ambitious mathematicians. They love engaging, challenging, and hands-on math activities that provide them with opportunities to demonstrate their understanding of new concepts, using their own individual notebook to record notes on new math content taught each week.

These notebook organizers are fundamental for students to build organizational skills and take pride in their hard work.

Many of my students cannot afford to purchase their own supplies and this contribution will ensure that they always have what they need to be successful in math class. This project will provide supplies to organize notebooks by table groups, increasing the time for students to learn exciting math concepts! In addition, this project includes fundamental fidgets which are a great tool to help students that are stressed or experience anxiety at school.
