it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Schools require a large amount of supplies to successfully operate. It is surprising how even something as simple as not having enough sticky notes or staplers can make the school day difficult. At my school, teachers work hard everyday to help our students learn and to be successful. Sometimes, teachers do this hard work without the supplies they need for the classroom. Often, teachers have to use their own paychecks to buy classroom supplies.
Our students need anchor charts to help them learn.
With the sticky chart paper, our classrooms will be able to make colorful anchor charts for students to refer to as they learn. Our students also need colorful bulletin boards to help them learn and to feel successful. The colorful butcher paper will allow our teachers to make bulletin boards with learning objectives that students can access to aid their learning. The bulletin boards will also feature student work so they can feel successful and proud of the learning. Having supplies such as tape dispensers and staplers will help students manage their work and feature it on the bulletin boards. File folders will also help us organize student work so they can be featured in student portfolios. Lastly, students are regularly using dry erase markers to demonstrate their learning, so having plenty of dry erase markers on hand will enhance achievement.
