This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of notebooks is a daily activity in my classroom. Students take notes and share their works with their notebooks everyday. Having a notebook for each subject helps the student to be organized and keep the learning material in the right place for them to use as notes for classwork they are doing independently.

Students will also use their notebooks in math, science and social studies to take notes and respond to experiments that will require them to write what they think in their notebooks.

Having the basic supplies to help them learn will increase their learning in all academic areas. So having erasers, pencils, glue sticks, colored pencils that they have at their finger tips will increase learning and allow them to get right to work. When they use their dry erase board they need markers to use them so having plenty because they dry out with so much use. These are a great tool to easy see what they understand.

My students come from a low income community where they don't always have the finances to get all the material needed for school. By providing this it will highlight their learning opportunities.
