This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very resilient and enjoy learning. We had been building rapport in the classroom to help with learning, but since we had to meet through screens it was very hard to keep the engagement the same. Yet, the majority of my students still showed ready to learn.

Some students were at home without pencils, pens or even paper yet they showed up, whenever they could, to zoom meetings ready to learn.

They came more to be together as a class than anything else.

My Project

Since my students have to learn at home, these supplies will ensure they begin ready and excited! The clipboards will help the students write while our interacting and engaging zoom videos. The sheet protectors will serves as whiteboards for students to use to follow along in our lessons.

My students' learning has been eclipsed by the lack of resources and supplies they have at home.

The pens, highlighters, markers and pencils will help my students study and practice their skills. The headphones will make sure they are learning without any distractions. The fidget toys will be a reminder for my students to relax and know that they are not alone. My students need an equitable and well-deserved start of the year.
