My Students

You have a 1 in 6 chance of being a victim of a crime in our school's neighborhood. Crime is 136% higher than the national average and students come to our school every day carrying the trauma around them.

My 6th grade math classes are filled with learners who just need the tools to be successful in class.

We need to find ways to combine their love of technology with mathematics and problem solving. Most programs need headphones and sharing them is not hygienic or fosters a sense of responsibility.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The erasable pocket folders will allow us to set up meaningful centers, dry erase markers are to be used with our dry erase desks and earbuds are to keep learning hygienic and safe.

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful math.

By implementing centers, my students will begin to see themselves as true mathematicians. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long math geniuses I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
