Help me give my students the supplies post its, sharpener, pens and dry erase markers they need to be successful in an English Language Arts classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach roughly 80 eighth graders in an underserved community in a large city in Texas. My students are learning how to be empathetic, successful citizens of the world while striving for academic success.
Our school exists to eliminate educational inequity by partnering with the community.
We develop students who are ready to excel in and graduate from a 4-year college. We empower our students to demonstrate resilience and integrity, advocate for self and their community, and always strive for excellence.
My Project
The students in my classroom have made great strides this year. I am so proud of their growth and want to continue helping them reach their potential. In order to encourage their continued success, this project is full of basic supplies that they are unable to afford.
Annotating is a skill we work on daily and pens, pencils, and highlighters are essential, and, unfortunately, they are not always on hand in class.
I have also added a bookshelf along with binders and dividers in order to promote organization.
These supplies will help my students continue to learn to annotate and succeed in my English Language Arts classroom.
