Supplies for Success: What Every Kid Needs!

My Students

My students are "rookies in reading". They are the students that have been identified as reading below grade level expectations, some diagnosed dyslexic, that require Tier 3 intervention. With English having 1,120 ways to create 44 sounds, it's my job to help them decipher all that comes with reading!

My students come to my classroom with a growth mindset ready to tackle the lessons objective!

Their determination and perseverance are what drives me to work harder. They are truly inspirational!

My Project

Preparation is the key to success and for students in my reading intervention groups, that means having the right supplies. Being able to have a pencil, paper, folder, etc, that the student can take ownership of makes a tremendous difference in the student's performance in the classroom.

When students are set up with the school supplies they need for learning, their self-esteem soars!

Being prepared with the right materials on a daily basis also affects classroom behavior and productivity. Without the right supplies, the students who come to receive reading intervention in my classroom, will not be ready to tackle the tasks I assign to them.
