This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having the right supplies on the first day of school helps set the tone for a successful year. While our school provides a few basic materials, I always try to fill in the gaps so every student feels prepared and supported from day one. The items in this project include essential school supplies, art materials, and science experiment tools.
These resources will allow my students to engage in hands-on learning, express their creativity through art, and explore scientific concepts through meaningful experiments.
By having what they need at their fingertips, students can focus on learning—not worrying about what they’re missing.
My goal is to create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence. I haven’t met my students yet, but I’m excited to welcome a new group of fourth graders to our Two-Way Bilingual Immersion program. Each day, we split our learning time between English and Spanish.
My mission is to help students grow academically in both languages while developing the courage to express themselves, even when it's challenging. I want them to see mistakes as part of learning and to feel proud of their progress as bilingual learners.
My students are special because they are learning to think, read, and communicate in two languages every single day. This is a powerful skill that takes hard work, perseverance, and a lot of confidence. With the right materials, I can support them in reaching their goals while also celebrating their creativity and individual strengths.
