Supplies for Success: Empowering Students With Organization & Accountability

Help me give my students pencils, glue sticks, pencil pouches, and organizers to boost responsibility, independence, and executive functioning to stay organized, focused, and proud of their learning space.

My Project

My students are eager learners who thrive when they have the right tools and support in place. As a special education teacher working with middle schoolers, I know that executive functioning skills—like staying organized, keeping track of materials, and managing tasks—are just as important as reading and math.

Unfortunately, we’re often missing the most basic supplies: glue sticks, sharpened pencils, and sturdy pencil pouches.

Without these, students struggle to stay on task and become frustrated when they can’t find what they need. I want to change that.

With your help, I’ll provide each student with their own pencil case, pre-stocked with essential supplies like pencils and glue sticks, along with file organizers to keep their folders and papers neat. Not only will this reduce disruptions and lost materials, but it will also teach students to take ownership of their belongings and workspace.

This project supports independence and confidence—two things every middle schooler needs in order to thrive. When our classroom runs smoothly, students can focus on what matters: learning, growing, and realizing their potential.
