This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful first-grade class consists of 24 creative and curious students. They have lots of energy and they like to be challenged. We are a Title I school in a low-income community and almost all of our students qualify for free lunch and breakfast.

My first graders are eager to learn and have a passion for learning.

During this current Pandemic, my goal is to better prepare and equip my students for online learning.

As their teacher, I need to ensure that my students have the supplies that they need to be successful at home during distance learning.

My Project

These school supplies will be used by my students as they start the beginning of first-grade virtually. The whiteboards, dry erase markers, crayons, math counters, pencils, pencil sharpeners, scissors and glue sticks will help them complete their daily assignments. The mesh zipper bags will help families keep their materials organized in one location.

I want to ensure that my first-graders will have the tools they need to be successful during our online learning.

My students will be able to complete their daily learning tasks and it will also give them the opportunity to do hands-on activities.
