This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a self-contained special education class at a low income middle school. My students all have learning disabilities that affect their ability to learn grade level standards. Because my students are working at an elementary level even though they are in middle school. I am not given all of the resources needed to teach them. These materials will replenish our crayons, markers, and colored pencils as well as give us a place to store them.

My special education students will use these materials on a daily basis in their school work.

This will also give them a warm inviting classroom where they can come to learn in a bright and appealing atmosphere.
