it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every scholar deserve to feel both seen and supported the moment they walk into the classroom. This project includes a mix of academic tools like crayons, organizational supplies and math materials, along with thoughtful items like snacks, lotion, and hygiene products that support scholars' physical and emotional well-being. While giving my students anatomy on their learning with flexible seating options. These items may seem small, but they send a powerful message: you matter here. When scholars know their needs are met and that someone is thinking of their comfort and confidence, they are more likely to show up as their full selves: ready to engage, take risk, and learn.
My goal is to create a classroom that feel like a second home - a space where learning is fueled by joy, stability, and trust.
I teach in a community where access to resources is limited, but the brilliance and determination of my scholars is limitless. Despite facing systemic disadvantages, they show up each day with humor, heart, and a hunger to learn. This project honors their resilience by making sure our classroom reflects the warmth, care, and creativity they bring into it every day.
