My Students

Most of the students attended the same elementary school and have been friends for several years. To them, their classmates are close like their family. They support and help each other along the way in their journey of learning. They are creative, innovative, and curious. Our school is a Title I school. Many of our students come from low income families; all of our students receive free lunch. Many of them will hopefully be the first in their families to go to college. Over half of them do not speak English at home, and for many, English is not their first language. Most of them are ELLs (English Language Learners). The diverse student population helps the students to embrace differences and bring in learning opportunities to one another.

My Project

Hands on learning help us to experience the concept, rather than just having it on a worksheet.

Our students need supplies to help them to learn more about general science and mathematics!

The sharpies will help us to make bold designs, having solid color on posters, as well as to mark cardboard and plastic when we need it on projects. It will not come off like washable markers. Tape and duct tape is very important as we do lab that require us to be a maker, math activity that required us to do cutting and paste, as well as making poster project presentation. Stapler is important for the classroom, to keep our packets together, and having enough to go around. Help us to have these materials to be ready for wherever learning takes us, and to stay sharp the whole school year!
