I am requesting National Geographic books, LEGOs, soap-making supplies, and batteries for our science explorations. These items are either supplies that will be used for annual science projects (soap making) or to refill missing science supplies.
The books I have requested are in high need.
My students love the National Geographic books and I try to add a few new titles when I can. I like the National Geographic books because they allow students to work on their informational text comprehension skills. My students struggle with taking factual information quizzes. Having more books in this genre will help them practice build their comprehension skills.
The soap, plastic bags, and batteries will all be used in our science projects this year. Each year my students make soap with the soap base and scented oils. The plastic bags are for sorting, storing and organizing projects.
The ornaments will be used to build. Students love to build with LEGO-style kits. These ornaments will be perfect for our Christmas Santa's Workshop. I have a variety of ornaments students can make and this year I would love to add the building ornaments to satisfy my students' tinkering needs.
