My students need thermometers, Fizz Wizard and Jammin Jelly Reaction kit, and a ChemQuest The Nature of Chemical Change Activity Kit.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bryant's classroom raised $245

My Students
"An investment in Knowledge always pays the best interest" Ben Franklin My students need to be knowledgeable in 21st century skills.
Every day my students come to class asking if we are going to do something fun today. Most of my students enjoy science because it can be fun hands-on learning.
My students are energetic, inquisitive, and determined.
They come from very diverse backgrounds. Our school has about 901 students enrolled from Kindergarten to 8th Grade. 55.1% were low-income, 19.4% S.W.D., and 17.5% ELL. My students are in the Accelerated/Enriched Academic Program and in inclusive Special Education classes. We cover the spectrum of students needs and push them to go beyond their comfort zone. We want our students to work Smarter Together! We want them to develop and design projects that allow them to answer scientific questions. We believe all students can learn and excel!
My Project
The resources I listed will allow my students to master their understanding of matter. The more hands on lessons I can do with them, the more a-ha factor I will create! Chemistry is a great way to kick start a students interest in science. When they try out some of these experiments hopefully we will create a memory that will last a lifetime!
Some of the materials I am requested will help students understand how matter changes. Thermometers are used in our Thermal Energy unit. We will watch the temp. change as ice changes to water. We will build and design insulators to keep a can hot, and test the temp. with the thermometers!
Fizz wizard and Jammin Jelly Reaction kit, will demonstrate how everyday materials can undergo a chemical change.
The Chemquest Chemical Activity Kit will also help students understand chemical and physical changes.
Thanks again for helping my students master these key concepts!
I would not be able to bring these exciting Chemistry experiments to life without DonorsChoose.
Hopefully this request will allow my students to have another tool in their chemistry tool box!
