I teach third grade in a suburban setting outside Seattle. We are a busy group of students who love to learn and share our knowledge and writing with others. Our school reflects the diversity that comes from being welcoming to immigrants: 10 languages spoken and 72% poverty living in temporary housing or homeless. We are blessed with many forms of instruction but I need support having the tools that we need to be successful learning during our learning centers and independent work time.
In giving students more choices in the ways that they want to learn I need supplies that give them the independence to get their work completed well.
We are learning how to work through learning centers and taking charge of how we want to complete our work. These tools, including earbuds and dry-erase markers, will help us during our independent work time be more focused and produce our work. These tools will give my students different ways to access what they need.
