This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Music is one of the few experiences that every human being shares. Even if we only play the radio, it touches all of our lives. Our school is rebuilding our music program and our students are so excited about learning to play music.

We are a Title I elementary school.

Our goal is to ensure that all students acquire knowledge and develop skills and understandings that will enable them to become productive citizens and lifelong learners. Our students do not have a lot of advantages in life, and we do everything we can to provide them the most fulfilling experiences possible!

My Project

Music can be a positive attribute and skill which a student can take pride in for his or her entire life. I am requesting supplies which will be used directly with the students, in preparation for the student's assignments, and to make the classroom a creative place to learn. My students need paper, bulletin board decorations, music books, stickers, dry erase markers, chalk and more basic supplies. Chart paper and markers will be used in daily lessons and will be used to display resources for students. Papers will be used for assignments and letters to parents.

These supplies will give our students the chance to begin learning music.

Music gives these students an opportunity to learn something they can take pride in and use throughout their entire lives. Most importantly, this is an experience that the school and the families of our students would not be able to afford without your help. Thank you!
