Supplies for Motivated 5th Graders!

Help me give my students basic supplies to continue their learning experience this school year! We need markers, charts and much more.

My Students

My students are a diverse group of students from the heart of Bed-Stuy Brooklyn growing up in low income families. My students are creative, thoughtful innovative and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, and my students are becoming enthusiastic learners.

In the classroom we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

The goal of this project is to ensure that our classroom is full of all student basic supplies to prepare them for TEST PREP. Test prep support will build confidence in all of our students. Our students this year are eager to learn and we want to continue that momentum.

Our classroom needs basic supplies in order to keep my students successful and motivated to prepare them for the upcoming state tests.

We are asking for astro bright paper in order to make classroom copies for test prep materials, homework and class work having color copies will excite the students, color folders to keep school work organized by subject, expo markers to be used during centers, assessments, the use of whiteboards is a daily assessment tool in our classroom, especially in math. Laminating sheets for our Math and Ela center games. The chart paper will give the students a chance to display and explain thinking to peers. Our students love participating in gallery walks and independent work stations! And what classroom doesn't need pencils when its a room of 32 students actively engaging in learning.
